| How to Register a Handset to a base station. |
Unplug
power adaptor from rear of base station and reconnect. Make sure that
you take out the correct lead as you could remove the line cord. You
now have 3 minutes to carry out the following procedure. On the new
handset press Menu button and press an arrow button until REGISTER
shows in display. Press OK. Display shows “BS 1 2 3 4” Press “1” then
the display shows PIN. Enter pin code (default 0000) and press OK. The
display shows SEARCH while the handset is searching for a base station.
When it finds one, the RFPI number is displayed. Press OK.

Level
2 Reset needed - Remove a handset battery. Press and hold the * button.
Re-insert the battery into the handset. Handset display shows "Default"
release the * button. Press OK.

| Low volume in earpiece. |
The
internal microprocessor has locked up. Perform a reset by removing a
handset battery and disconnecting the power adaptor from the base
station. Leave for 15 minutes and reconnect in any order.

| Earpiece Dead |
The
internal microprocessor has locked up. Perform a reset by removing a
handset battery and disconnecting the power adaptor from the base
station. Leave for 15 minutes and reconnect in any order.

| Display does not work when the handset is lifted from the base station. |
This
means that the handset batteries are not providing power to the handset
and may need recharging. Clean the charging contacts on the handset and
base station.
Make sure that the battery contacts within the
battery compartment are clean and making contact with the battery
terminals. It may be necessary to physically adjust the contacts by
gently forcing them towards the batteries with a screw driver.
Batteries
are exhausted and should be replaced. Eventually, rechargeable
batteries become unusable and need to be replaced. Make sure that you
use Rechargeable batteries and not standard alkaline batteries.

| Display does not work with handset on or off the base station. |
Clean the charging contacts on the handset and base station.
Remove a handset battery and refit after 1 minute.

The
handset is not receiving a signal from the base station. Make sure that
the mains power adaptor is plugged into the base station and switched
on. The power adaptor must be connected to the base station at all
times and not just for handset charging.
The handset has lost
it's registration to the base station and needs to be re-registered. To
do this Remove and refit a handset battery. On refitting the battery 4
dashes appear in the display. As soon as you see the 4 dashes press and
release the OK button quickly. TEST appears in the display Press 5.
Handset should now display NOT SUB and be ready for registration. See -

You may be too far away from the base station. Use the handset closer to the base station.

| Caller Display not working. |
For
this function to work you must subscribe to Caller Display with your
network provider. Please contact your network provider.
Do you have any other Caller Display systems on the line? This could cause a weakness of the Caller Display signal.

any order.
The caller may have withheld their number by
dialling 141 Or they may be calling from a network that does not
transmit the Caller ID (for example, it may be an international call).

should try your phone on a friends line to determine if it is your line
at fault or the phone. Make sure the test line subscribes to Caller ID

Check
that there is power to the Base Station and the mains Power Adaptor is
plugged in. The Power Adaptor is not just for charging the Handset, it
must remain plugged in for normal operation of the phone.
The
Handset needs to be re-registered to the Base Station. Follow the
instruction under "How to Register a Handset to a Base Station"
You may be using the handset too far away from the Base Station. Use the Handset within the usual range of the Base Station.

| Cannot make or receive calls. |
Check
that there is power to the Base Station and the mains Power Adaptor is
plugged in. The Power Adaptor is not just for charging the Handset, it
must remain plugged in for normal operation of the phone.
Make sure that you use the Line Cord Cable that came with the product. Other Line Cords may not work.

| Ringer not working |
Make sure that you use the Line Cord Cable that came with the product. Other Line Cords may not work.
Make sure you have not switched the ringer off. The handset and base ringers can be adjusted to off independently

| How to record an Out Going Message (OGM) |
On
the handset - Press "R" and then "1". The display shows OGM REC. After
a few seconds you here a beep and the display flashes. Now speak your
message into the microphone and press "0" to stop recording. Press "R"
to go back to standby mode.

| Ringer not working. The telephone does not ring. |
Make sure that you use the Line Cord Cable that came with the product. Other Line Cords may not work.
Make sure you have not switched the ringer off. The handset and base ringers can be adjusted to off independently

If there is more than one handset registered to your base station, another handset may be in use and on a call.
Reset the Base Station by removing the power adaptor plug from the back of the Base Station and then re-inserting it.

| Interference from the earpiece when on a call |
Make
certain that the Handset batteries are fully charged. Place the Handset
on the Base Station to charge and leave for 12 hours. The Base Station
should not be located near other electrical equipment. Try moving the
Base Station to a different location. Avoid TV's and Computers.
The best range results are achieved when the Base Station is located as high as possible. First floor landing area is ideal.
You may be using the Handset too far from the Base Station. Move closer to the Base Station.
Try
removing batteries from the handset and remove power from the base
station. Leave for 5 minutes and then re-power the base station and
insert the batteries into the handset.

| Low volume in earpiece when on a call |
Make certain that the earpiece module of the handset is positioned over your ear correctly.
To
adjust the earpiece volume - While on a call, press the OK button and
use the scroll arrow buttons to adjust the volume from 1 - 5. Press OK
again to accept the setting.

| DELETING - The handset display shows "DELETING" constantly |
It
is normal for the "Deleting" message to appear for approx 30 seconds
after deleting all messages. If "DELETING" remains, remove power from
the base station for 5 minutes and then re-apply the power.
